Grounding

This painting was created in August of 2026--several artists gathered at a friends cabin to start painting for Plein Air Grand Marais. The weather on this day was perfect for painting. I was looking for gnarly roots and this pathway appeared on my short walk through Cascade State Park. This scene can be found if you park on 61 and walk just a short way up the trail and turn to the right. When you go left you will find the waterfall. Lots of visitors to Cascade State park to witness the start of this painting.
